Olompali State Park, just north of Novato provides a meeting of rural and urban environments.

 

 

This painting was done on the northern edge of the San Francisco bay at Olompali State Park. I like the way the Richmond Bridge and Mt Diablo are minor players in the overall composition.

 

Spring time in the Napa Valley, along the Silverado Trail proved a perfect place to set up my easel.  

West End Road in Humboldt County is one of my favorite spots to paint.

Parducci Vineyard, north of Ukiah is a sustainable enterprise, and a welcoming place to paint.

Unexpected mustard fields on West End Road caught my eye.
